For designer Raquel M. Horn, jewelry has always carried more than beauty — it holds memory, meaning, and power. Some of her earliest inspirations came as a child, traveling with her family to gem shows in North Carolina, where she panned for gold and rubies and began her first collection of stones. Later, while studying at the University of Arizona, the Tucson Gem Show opened her eyes to rare gems she had never seen before, deepening her respect for their metaphysical properties.
